Everything is created by hand and with love. All designs are painted freehand onto the shoes with no stencils or airbrushing and embellishments are glued on one by one. It takes time, care and attention to detail but it's sure to leave you with a pair of shoes you'll love and treasure for years. 

Based in Cambridge in the UK Custom Converse is owned and run by Jen, a young entrepreneur who developed the idea after being disappointed by the custom options available on the official Converse website. The desire to create even more unique, personal and exciting custom designs led to an old pair of converse being given a new lease of life, taking on the theme of the album Star Tiger Star Ariel by Delays. It took Jen days to hand paint the very first pair but family, friends and fans of the band were impressed with the outcome, and so the business idea of Custom Converse began!

14 years down the line, and over 10,000 pairs of painted shoes later, Jen is running Custom Converse from her garden based studio. Pairs have been created for celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, bands including Bastille and The Specials, and red carpet premiere events as well as countless birthday and christmas gifts for loved ones.
